The Maryland Society for Clinical Social Work has maintained a Mentor Program for its members for a number of years. Recent MSW graduates, current MSW students, social workers new to the area, and social workers resuming interrupted careers are cordially invited to participate in a program that offers you an opportunity to develop a relationship with an experienced clinical social worker who will be available to you on a one-to-one basis, to provide guidance and support, as you make the transition to social work employment.

For a one-time administrative fee of $15, any Society member can apply to become a Mentee. The fee is waived for current Student members. After completing and returning the Mentee Application Form, your needs will be matched with a Mentor whose expertise and experience can fulfill your requirements.

Not a member? Want to participate? Just submit the completed Mentee Application Form, a copy of your resume, and fee together with your membership application and everything will be processed at the same time.

Are you an LCSW-C? Do you have expertise and areas of interest that you are willing to share with a Mentee? Do you have practice specialties? Are you willing to volunteer your time as a Mentor? If so, download the Mentor Application Form and submit it together with a copy of a recent vita and the cover page of your malpractice insurance indicating coverage/expiration date. Your qualifications will be matched to a mentee.
