Insurance Insurance

The Maryland Society for Clinical Social Work offers comprehensive professional liability insurance to its members underwritten by Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance Company – a leader in quality professional liability insurance coverage to the mental health field.

The plan is administered by CPH & Associates, Inc., in partnership with Bertholon-Rowland. BR is one of the nation’s leading administrators of professional liability insurance, with more than 32 years of product expertise. CPH brings added experience as a specialist in professional liability insurance for mental health professionals.

Who Is Eligible?
Clinical social workers who are (1) MSW’s, LCSW’s, post-MSW’s under supervision or students and (2) currently working within the United States are eligible to apply.

What Is Covered?
This plan protects you against claims relating to “rendering or failure to render professional services as clinical social worker”. In addition, it also provides supplemental legal liability coverage for personal and bodily injury and property damage that may occur while you are rendering professional services.

Benefit of “Occurrence Form” Protection
As an “Occurrence Policy Form”, this plan covers claims that result from services rendered during the policy period, regardless of when the actual claim is reported. Since loss trends indicate the majority of claims are made years after the services are performed, this is an important feature.

Other Benefits

  • Choice of Limits, with no deductible
  • Unlimited Defense Benefit
  • Deposition Expense Benefit
  • Regulatory Investigation Expense Benefit
  • Defendant’s Reimbursement Benefit
  • Medical Expense Benefit
  • Assault Benefit
  • First Aid Benefit
