We both need and want to hear from clinicians and their clients regarding inability to access services. Our Legislative Vice President, Betsy F. Amey, LCSW-C, is compiling information to be used in her committee work and to substantiate the difficulties that can be encountered when attempting to have a patient hospitalized, find another professional (psychologist, psychiatrist) who is taking new patients, obtain insurance approvals, and other similar situations.

Clinicians are urged to contact Betsy directly. Clinicians are also encouraged to ask their clients who have encountered difficulties to contact Betsy also. All information is confidential and will be reported anonymously. To reach Betsy, please email her at: bfamey@comcast.net.

This information is always welcomed; however, it is most critical during the time when the General Assembly is in session January through April.
